Most guest posting lists are padded with sites that stopped accepting posts years ago, sites that only exist to sell links, or sites based nowhere near the United States. This list is different. It contains 100 US publications and blogs that publish contributed articles, each with its own write for us or contributor page linked directly.
Each entry shows the topics the site accepts, its link policy as stated by the site, whether it pays writers or charges a fee, the length it asks for, and estimated Domain Authority (DA), Domain Rating (DR) and monthly organic traffic. The list is grouped by niche so you can go straight to the sites that fit your business.

Why USA Guest Post Submission Is Necessary
A guest post on a US site does three jobs at once, and the US part matters for each of them.
- It puts you in front of the right buyers. If your customers are in the United States, a post on a site read by Americans reaches them directly. A link from a site with a mostly Indian, British or Australian audience sends visitors who may never be able to buy from you.
- It sends geographic relevance signals. Search engines read where a site’s readers and links come from. Links and mentions from US publications strengthen the sense that your business serves the US market, which supports rankings in google.com results for US searchers.
- It builds authority with people, not just algorithms. A byline in HousingWire or CIO.com is something a prospect recognises. It shows up when they research you, and it gives sales teams something to share.
- It feeds AI answers. AI assistants lean heavily on established publications when describing brands. A mention in a respected US outlet can shape how ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overviews describe you, which is why brand mentions now matter alongside backlinks.
- It compounds. A good article keeps sending readers and supporting rankings for years, long after a paid ad would have stopped.
Which Businesses Should Submit Guest Posts on USA Websites
| Business Type | Why US Guest Posts Help | Best Niches on This List |
|---|---|---|
| SaaS and software companies selling to US teams | Reach decision-makers and support rankings for competitive US keywords | Technology, Marketing and Business |
| Agencies and consultancies with US clients | Show expertise where clients already read | Marketing, Business, Technology |
| Ecommerce brands shipping to the US | Earn relevant links and referral traffic from US shoppers | Lifestyle, Home, Pets, Parenting |
| Financial advisers, lenders and fintech firms | Build trust in a sector where credibility decides sales | Finance, Real Estate, Insurance |
| Real estate agents, brokers and proptech | Reach agents, investors and buyers through trade titles | Real Estate |
| Healthcare, wellness and mental health practices | Share expertise with an audience that values first-hand experience | Health and Lifestyle |
| Law firms and legal tech companies | Reach other lawyers and business owners | Legal, Business |
| Edtech and training providers | Reach teachers and school leaders directly | Education |
| Offshore companies entering the US market | Build a US footprint and recognisable US bylines | Any niche matching your product |
| Personal brands, founders and authors | Turn expertise into recognition and speaking or media invitations | Business, Lifestyle, Careers |
Local businesses are the exception. A plumber in Ohio gains more from local news, chambers of commerce and city directories than from a national publication. National guest posting suits businesses that sell across the US. Our guide to local and national SEO explains where each approach fits.
Dofollow vs Nofollow Links in Guest Posts
Google recognises four kinds of link attribute, and guest posts can carry any of them.
| Attribute | What It Tells Search Engines | How Common in Guest Posts |
|---|---|---|
| Dofollow (no attribute) | The site vouches for the link; it can pass ranking value | Common on smaller blogs, rarer on big publications |
| rel=”nofollow” | Do not treat this link as an endorsement | Common on large news and contributor sites |
| rel=”sponsored” | The link was paid for or is part of an advertisement | Required by Google whenever a link is paid |
| rel=”ugc” | The link sits in user-generated content | Used on community and forum-style platforms |
Since 2019 Google treats nofollow as a hint, not a hard rule, so a nofollow link from a strong publication can still carry some weight. More importantly, nofollow links still send visitors, build recognition and create the brand mentions that AI tools pick up. A healthy link profile has both kinds. A profile made entirely of dofollow guest post links looks engineered.
On this list, link policies range from “up to 3 dofollow links” at CloudSponge to “no links” at Dumb Little Man. Many large publications allow only an author bio link. Treat that as normal, not as a reason to skip a strong site.
Contextual Links and Anchor Text
A contextual link sits inside the body of the article, surrounded by text about the same subject. It is worth more to readers and search engines than a link in a bio or footer, because the surrounding words explain why the link is there.
Anchor text is the clickable wording of a link. Over-optimised anchors are one of the clearest signs of manipulative link building, so keep a natural mix:
| Anchor Type | Example | Suggested Share of Guest Post Anchors |
|---|---|---|
| Branded | Acme Analytics | 40% to 50% |
| Naked URL | acmeanalytics.com | 10% to 15% |
| Generic | this guide, read more | 10% to 15% |
| Partial match | tools for tracking marketing data | 15% to 20% |
| Exact match | marketing analytics software | 5% or less |
These shares are a sensible guide, not a formula. Every link should make sense to a reader who has never heard of SEO.
PBNs: Why to Stay Away
A private blog network (PBN) is a group of websites one person or company controls, usually built on expired domains, to point links at chosen sites. Many “guest post” sellers are really selling PBN placements.
- Google’s spam policies treat PBNs as link schemes, and manual actions or algorithmic devaluation can wipe out their value overnight.
- PBN sites have no real readers, so they send no traffic and build no brand recognition.
- Warning signs include very cheap placements, a “write for us” page covering every topic from crypto to pets, posts by “admin”, no social presence, recent ownership changes and traffic that spiked and then fell.
- Google’s site reputation abuse policy also targets established sites that publish third-party content mainly to exploit their ranking power, so even big domains can lose value if they rent out sections.
Every site on this list has an editorial team and a real audience. That is the difference worth paying attention to.
Helpful Content Comes First
Editors at the sites on this list reject far more pitches than they accept, and the reason is almost always the same: the article reads like it exists to carry a link. Google’s systems look for the same thing. Content written mainly to manipulate rankings is classed as spam.
- Write from experience. Share what you did, what happened and what you learned.
- Bring something new: your own data, a case study, a framework or a clear opinion.
- Write for that site’s readers, in that site’s style. Read five recent posts first.
- Link out to credible sources, not only to yourself.
- Match the post to a topic you are already known for. Guest posts work best when they support your topical authority instead of scattering across subjects.
How to Pitch a USA Guest Post
| Step | What to Do |
|---|---|
| 1. Read the guidelines | Follow length, format and topic rules exactly. Many sites reject pitches that ignore them. |
| 2. Study recent posts | Find gaps the site has not covered, and match its tone. |
| 3. Pitch an angle, not a topic | Two or three specific headlines with a short outline beat a vague offer to write “about marketing”. |
| 4. Show credentials | Link to two or three published samples and explain why you are qualified. |
| 5. Write exclusive content | Most sites require original, unpublished work. |
| 6. Keep links natural | Use the links the site allows, in places a reader would expect them. |
| 7. Promote the post | Share it, reply to comments and thank the editor. It makes the next pitch easier. |
Guest posting is one part of off-page SEO. It works best on a site that is already in good order, as our guide to on-page and off-page SEO explains.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is a USA Guest Posting Site?
It is a website based in the United States, or written mainly for US readers, that publishes articles written by outside contributors.
Are Guest Posts Still Good for SEO in 2026?
Yes, when they are genuine editorial contributions on relevant sites. Guest posts placed mainly for links, or bought on networks without real readers, carry risk and little value.
Should Guest Post Links Be Dofollow?
A mix is best. Dofollow links can pass ranking value, while nofollow links from strong publications still bring traffic, recognition and brand mentions.
What DA or DR Should a Guest Post Site Have?
Relevance matters more than a single number. A niche site with an estimated DR of 50 and a matching audience often does more for you than an unrelated site with DR 90.
Do USA Guest Posting Sites Charge a Fee?
Most editorial sites on this list are free to submit to, and many pay writers. Paid placements should carry a sponsored label and a rel=”sponsored” link.
How Many Links Can I Include in a Guest Post?
It depends on the site. Policies on this list range from no links to up to three, and many large publications allow only an author bio link.
How Long Does It Take to Get a Guest Post Published?
Usually two to eight weeks from pitch to publication, longer at large publications with editorial calendars.
What Is the Difference Between a Guest Post and a PBN Link?
A guest post appears on a real publication with editors and readers. A PBN link sits on a site built only to pass links, which breaks Google’s spam policies.
