Why Baby Shark Is Missing From the Chart
Baby Shark Dance by Pinkfong is the most viewed video on YouTube, with more than 15 billion views, yet it holds zero comments. In September 2019, Google agreed to pay $170 million to settle claims from the FTC and the New York Attorney General that it collected data from children under COPPA. From January 2020, YouTube turned off comments on every video marked as made for kids.
That rule locks nursery rhyme channels such as Cocomelon, Pinkfong and ChuChu TV out of this ranking for good, even with tens of billions of combined views. Earlier, in February 2019, YouTube had already switched off comments on most videos featuring young children.
