Adsy Review: How the Guest Post Marketplace Works, Pricing and Checks

5/5 - (6 votes)

Adsy is a self-serve marketplace where buyers pay website owners to publish articles with links, and where those owners list their sites and set their own prices. It is run by Invise, Inc. from Lewes, Delaware, and it dates back to 2018.

A buyer tops up a balance with at least $25, filters the site list, then orders either content placement (you supply the article) or writing and placement (the publisher writes it).

Purchases are final, but a buyer can send a task back for fixes up to three times before opening a dispute.

What is Adsy?

Adsy is a content marketing platform built around SEO and digital PR. Its contact page lists the legal company as Invise, Inc., with a Delaware address, a support email and a US phone number, and it explains that the business started in 2018 as a blog posting platform before adding other services.

The marketplace sits between two groups of users. Advertisers and agencies arrive to buy placements, while site owners and independent contributors arrive to sell them. Adsy holds the buyer’s money in an account balance, passes each task to the chosen publisher, and releases payment to that publisher after the work is completed and approved.

Adsy also sells additional services around the marketplace. Its solutions page lists an API service, managed services, a site checker, a referral program and prepared backlink packages. Most buyers begin with the core marketplace, and that is where the important decisions sit.

Ordering a Guest Post on Adsy, Step by Step

A buyer account costs nothing to open, but every purchase after that runs through the account balance, so the first practical step is a top-up. The FAQ lays out the process in this order.

  1. Open a buyer account. Sign-up is free. Adsy says it gives new users a 14-point SEO checklist on sign-up.
  2. Add funds. Go to the Balance page and choose “Add funds”. The smallest top-up is $25. PayPal and credit cards are accepted, and Adsy says it takes no commission on top-ups.
  3. Filter the site list. Set price, Ahrefs DR, traffic, country, language and category. The next section explains each filter.
  4. Pick an order type. Choose content placement if you have the article ready. Choose writing and placement if the publisher should write it. The price shown for writing and placement is the final price.
  5. Write the task. Add your target URL, anchor text and topic notes. You can message the publisher inside the task.
  6. Wait for acceptance. The FAQ says a new task can take up to 3 working days to be accepted.
  7. Check the finished post within 7 days. Look at the live URL, the link, the anchor and the link tags. If you do nothing within 7 calendar days, the task can be approved automatically.
  8. Return it if something is wrong. You can send it back with comments up to 3 times. After the third return you can open a dispute, which Adsy arbitrates.

The 7-day window is the detail new buyers overlook most often. If you order ten posts in a single week, set aside time to inspect each one as it goes live, because a post with the wrong anchor or a missing link is far easier to correct inside the window than after automatic approval.

The Adsy Site Filters and What Each One Tells You

Adsy’s link building page lists the filters a buyer can apply. Some describe price and audience size, while others describe how a publisher has behaved on earlier orders, and that second group is more useful than most first-time buyers expect.

Filter or metricWhat it showsHow to use it
PricePublisher price, with a range starting at 15Set a ceiling first so you compare like with like
Ahrefs DRDomain Rating rangeTreat it as a rough floor; it does not show topic fit
Similarweb traffic and Ahrefs organic trafficTwo separate traffic estimatesCompare them; a big gap is a reason to look closer
Country and languageWhere the site is aimedMatch the market your page is trying to rank in
Categories and special topicThe niche tags the site carriesStart here for topical fit, then read real posts
Approved to AdsySites that passed Adsy checksUseful as a first cut on a large list
Worked-with scopeAll sites, only sites you used, or sites you have not usedAvoid buying from the same domain twice by mistake
FreshnessSites added in the last week, month or 3 monthsNew listings have less order history to judge
Completion rateShare of tasks the publisher finishedLow rates mean more chasing and returns
Average link lifetimeHow long links have stayed live, as a share of timeRed under 70%, orange for 70% to 85%, green above 85%
TATTurnaround timePlan launches around it
Links (No-follow) and “Sponsored by”Whether the site marks links or postsCheck this against Google’s rules on paid links
IndexedWhether the site’s pages are in GoogleSkip sites that fail this

Two tabs sit above the results, one for verified sites and one for outreach sites. You can also save a filter combination and receive email alerts when newly added sites match it, which is practical when you need publishers in a narrow niche and the current inventory is limited.

Domain metrics are the filters most people reach for first, yet on their own they are a weak signal of value. Our guide to domain authority versus page authority explains why a high-authority domain can still host a poor page, and topical authority versus domain authority covers why a smaller site in your niche can be the better buy.

What Adsy Charges Buyers for a Placement

Adsy does not publish a single price list. Each publisher names one price for content placement and a second price for writing and placement, and the buyer pages advertise placements starting at $14, with a price filter that reaches 10,000.

The blogger outreach page displays a set of sample listings, and most of them cost between $15.50 and $50 for placement alone. One large news portal is listed at $239.99 for placement and $314.98 with writing included. Across this sample, adding writing raises the price by between $1 and $75 per post.

Adsy says the price shown for writing and placement is final, with no additional fees added at checkout, and that it charges no commission on balance top-ups. The FAQ adds that bonus credit is promotional, so it cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash.

Price on Adsy says very little about quality. A $20 site can be a genuine blog with loyal readers, while a $200 site can be a content farm with attractive metrics, so use the price filter to stay within budget and then judge each candidate on traffic, topical fit, editing standards and outbound links.

Refund Rules, Returns and Disputes on Adsy

The FAQ is direct about refunds, stating that “All purchases are final and non-refundable.” In place of a refund, the buyer returns the task with comments and requests changes, and a task can be returned up to 3 times. After the third return the buyer can open a dispute, which Adsy’s administration settles through arbitration.

Other Adsy pages use different wording. The guest blogging page displays a “100% Money Back Guarantee”, and the blogger outreach page promises a refund if the content is not published as specified. Before a large order, ask support which rule covers your specific task type and keep the written reply.

Some publishers also lodge a security deposit, which Adsy says is used to reimburse the buyer if the post is edited or deleted after approval. When two candidate sites look similar, the one with a deposit carries less financial risk for you.

Average link lifetime is the other safeguard. Adsy expresses it as a percentage of the time elapsed since each task was completed, so a publisher in the green band (85% to 100%) has kept most links live, while one in the red band (under 70%) has lost a noticeable share of them.

Selling Posts on Adsy as a Publisher

Publishers register free of charge, by email or with a Google or Facebook login, and each site is added under one of two roles. A site owner confirms ownership through one of 3 verification methods. A contributor, who places content on sites they do not own, passes a one-time account moderation that includes a video call with screen sharing.

Adsy says it replies to review requests within 2 days. Once a site is approved, tasks arrive in the publisher account, and the publisher sets the price, then accepts or declines each request before publishing. Payment is reserved as soon as Adsy sends the task, and earnings are paid out once or twice a month.

Large publisher networks can upload sites in bulk, since the upload tool accepts a file of up to 2,000 sites and the same file format is used to update prices and requirements later. The full site requirements sit in clause 5.21 of Adsy’s terms. In its announcement of the upload tool, Adsy says it considers the number of pages Google has indexed along with traffic, and that it no longer takes domain age into consideration.

A publisher who edits or deletes a post after approval puts the buyer’s money at risk and watches the link lifetime figure on their listing decline. For sellers, a high completion rate and a green link lifetime are the two numbers that prospective buyers notice first.

Google Link Rules That Apply to Every Adsy Order

Google’s spam policies list “buying or selling links for ranking purposes” as link spam, and that category includes “exchanging money for links, or posts that contain links.” The same policies also name links with optimized anchor text inside guest posts distributed on other sites.

The same policy describes how to stay compliant. Such links are acceptable “as long as they are qualified” with a rel=”nofollow” or rel=”sponsored” attribute. A paid guest post can still send readers and build brand recognition when its link carries one of those attributes.

Adsy’s buyer pages talk about do-follow, permanent links. Its site list also shows whether a site marks links as no-follow and whether it labels posts as “Sponsored by”. A buyer who wants to follow Google’s policy can filter for those sites, or write rel=”sponsored” into the task brief and check the tag before approval. The FAQ already asks buyers to check link tags before accepting a task, so this fits the normal review step.

Google keeps adjusting how it handles spam. Our notes on the September 2026 Google spam update cover the most recent change and what it meant for sites that sell links.

Checking an Adsy Site Before You Pay

Filters narrow the list, but they cannot tell you whether a particular site deserves your money. We run four checks on every candidate before ordering, and each one takes only a few minutes.

Real Traffic From Real Searches

Compare the Similarweb figure with the Ahrefs organic figure in the listing, and if one is many times larger than the other, find out why. Then search Google for the site name plus a topic it covers and see whether its pages appear, because a site with genuine readers usually ranks for long, specific queries in its niche. Our list of free SEO tools includes options for spot-checking traffic and rankings without a paid plan.

Topical Relevance to Your Page

Open the category page where your post would appear and read the titles of the ten most recent articles. If they jump between casino, crypto, CBD and home decor, the site is probably selling placements in every niche, and a link from a site that regularly covers your subject sends more relevant readers. Good keyword research on your own topic will tell you which phrases a relevant site should already rank for.

An Editorial Bar the Site Enforces

Look for named authors with biographies, edited headlines and articles that read as if a human editor reviewed them. Ask the publisher what kinds of submissions they reject, because a site that will publish anything also publishes material that may damage its reputation later.

Outbound Link Count per Post

Open three recent guest posts and count the external links in each one. Articles carrying eight or ten commercial links to unrelated businesses suggest a link farm, while a page with one or two relevant outside links gives your own link far more context.

Finish with the Adsy numbers by reviewing the completion rate, the link lifetime band, the “Indexed” flag and whether a security deposit is listed. A site that passes all four manual checks and shows a green link lifetime is a reasonable candidate for a first order.

Where Adsy Fits and Where Another Route May Suit Better

Adsy suits buyers who want to manage guest posting themselves and choose every site and every anchor personally. The inventory spans many countries and more than one language, so it can also support non-English campaigns, and the low starting prices make it practical to test a few publishers before committing a larger budget.

The platform does ask more of the buyer than a managed service would. You vet every site yourself and must inspect each post within 7 days, so teams without time for that routine may prefer Adsy’s managed services or an outside agency. Writers who supply their own articles should follow a clear SEO blog writing framework so publishers accept drafts on the first pass.

Buyers who rely on refunds as their main protection should read the FAQ carefully first, since Adsy depends on task returns and the dispute process as its primary remedies.

A Sensible First Month on Adsy

Start with the $25 minimum and one or two sites in your exact niche, choosing publishers with a green link lifetime and a high completion rate. A listed security deposit is a bonus. Request rel=”sponsored” in the brief, then inspect each post on the day it goes live and again a month later.

If those first posts stay live and deliver a few genuine visits, add publishers in batches of five and track the referral traffic in your analytics. Also watch whether the linked pages begin appearing in AI-generated answers, a topic our guide on earning LLM citations covers in detail. Remove any publisher whose link disappears or whose attributes change after approval.
