Google has clarified its stand on parked domains. Suppose you have booked a domain recently but you plan to launch the contents in it after 6 months then keeping it blank is not a good seo strategy. Instead create a basic template and add content on it clearly mentioning the purpose of the future website. This would help Google gain some knowledge about the site and the next time you update your website, Google is able to crawl its content sooner as compared to keeping it empty.
