Google Refreshes Page Layout Algorithm

Matt Cutts recently announced on Twitter a refresh of the Page Layout algorithm that was visible from Feb 6th. Matt tweeted this on Feb 10th. 

Page Layout algorithm detects sites that displays too many ads above the fold instead of the original content which the user is looking for. These sites often get penalized by the Page Layout algorithm. Hence, in order to have a positive effect of this algorithm, one must have quality content above the fold so that when the user clicks on a result, actual content gets visible instantly instead of the ads.

Sites that start their content with ads or display irritating ads that confuses the user often get penalized with the Page Layout algorithm. Have you witnessed any ranking fluctuations of your website around Feb 6th? Please share your comments below:
