Adwords Keyword Data Goes “Not Provided”

The entire Google team has been busy making keyword data invisible! After removing keyword data from the organic search, now Google removes it from Adwords dashboard as well. This was announced recently on the Adwords blog. The raw keyword data that used to pass on to the analytics through paid search ads has gone “Not Provided”.

You can however, track the keyword using API or parameter tracking. You can also get the data by using 3rd party analytics tracking software. The difference is, Google will not do it automatically for you, instead, you need to apply additional coding to get the data. (See – how to use value track to track not provided data?)
